It's not an International Harvester? |

International S-1800. 1979-1989. This one looks to be from the early 80's, IMO. |

If it's just an International, it can only be from 1987-90. Otherwise it's an International Harvester S-Series, and somehow I doubt that. |

What makes you doubt that it's an International Harvester Ddey? And DT83, out of curiosity, how were you able to tell the exact model? |

Is there a difference between calling it an International or an International Harvester? It's still an S1800 either way. Thats what they used to build school buses, until they replaced it with the 3800 in 1989. I rode to school on a bus just like that, back in the early 90's. Same grill and everything. I remember chatting to the driver and him telling me it was an '84 model. |

It could be either an S-1700 or an S-1800. The 1800 was the more "heavy duty" model than the 1700 but I don't remember the exact differences between the two. This bus is a 1979-1986 model due to the grille, the 1987-1988 has a small sized hole on the right side second up to make room for the new Navistar-International logo. Also this, bus has a Blue Bird body. |

So I guess that makes this the International Harvester, instead of just the International. I though this grille was designed so that the Navistar-International logo could be added on the driver's side. -- Last edit: 2009-09-18 04:20:58 |
