Well this ones got me stumped. I been looking up truck after truck to try and match this one, but so far no go.

Lol, all these 30's trucks look the same.

The grille is that of a 1937 Dodge Light to Medium Duty line ( one /one and a half ton ) but it is obviously a locally build cabin and loading or kipper box. Also the hood louvres are vertical rather than horizontal. It looks a very short wheelbase chassis and has dual rear wheels .The rear overhang of the loading or kipper box appears very important.

Hood louvers. That's what was confusing me. I kept on finding similiar grill patterns, but the hood louvers were all different.

Said to be a 1937 Dodge 1-Ton [MG-40], but MG-40 code was only for a 1½-ton model with a 133"/3.38 m wheelbase, while 1-ton models with such a wheelbase have the ME-21 or MH-29 code...

1937-38 fenders and horizontal grille bars: a 1937 M-Series or a 1938 R-Series. With medium- and heavy-duty (1½- / 2-ton) wheel rims. Depending on the wheelbase, the engine and the model year, a 1½-ton model could be (considering only the 2 shortest wheelbases: 126½"/3.20 m and 133"/3.33 m):
• 1937
  ∗ ME-30 (126" wheelbase);
  ∗ ME-31 (133" wheelbase);
  ∗ MF-35 (126" wheelbase);
  ∗ MG-40 (133" wheelbase);
• 1938
  ∗ Same models, with R as first letter (RE-30, RE-31, RF-35 and RG-40)

A 2-ton truck could only be a MF-36 (133" wheelbase) or a RF-36.

5 possible models for each year: maybe should we just identify this truck as a (default) 1937 M-Series?

Hi,

sorry, I´m new here in this forum. My hobby is the ID of trucks. I think the truck on the pic above is a Fargo 1937/38 type FE/FG.
