The plate seems indicating 1974, though I think it's an earlier model... but could it be a 1750 Spider Veloce too?

Junior is ok, as the small (side) indicators are closer to the headlamps and there is no headlights covers. Though without Giulia in the name AFAIK.

According to my sources it was named "Giulia" since the beginning of this model in 1966, except for the 1750:

1966/1967/1968: 1st model ==> named "Giulia 1600 Spider Duetto"
1968 : 2 new model in the range
==> "Giulia Spider 1300 Junior"
"1750 Spider Veloce" (launched for replacing the Giulia 1600 Spider Duetto)
Production of the Giulia Spider 1300 Junior will end in 1972, while the 1750 Spider Veloce end in 1971.

:think: I don't know what to say in such case. My source is a huge artice from Classic Auto, one of our vintage cars magazines. According to it
before the production started, Alfa announced the competition for the name for the new car. The most popular proposals were "Pinin" and indeed "Duetto". The winner became "Duetto", the winner guy (who invented it) was some Guidobaldo Trionfi from Brescia ;) , who won the new spider. However soon it turned out, that the name "Duetto" is already reserved by someone, and finally the car was introduced in 1966 Geneva as "Spider 1600" (Guidobaldo perhaps got his car anyway). So, as they also say, the name "Duetto" never appeared in any official brochure, but became a common nickname. There is also nothing about the "Giulia" as a part of this model name...

My source is "Toutes les voitures du Monde des années 60" from R.Bellu. It's quite reliable , but a generalist source.
