Could be AEC Regal chassis indeed, but what bodywork? |

This chassis start in 1929 by the way. |

I think this might be one of the first Regals, and might be bodied by Mumford of Plymouth. Link to "www.aecregals.org" I realise this isn't identical, but look at the fancy metalwork at the front on the left-hand side of the roof. |

I have some doubts this is an AEC at all. The AEC Regal radiator of the early 1930s does not look quite the same. The top part either side of the AEC trangular badge is as thin as the vertical sides. The one in the picture has a far thicker top and the badge area is less well defined. Possibly not an AEC? 1930 AEC Regal... -- Last edit: 2009-09-11 11:50:21 |

Pas AEC, peut-être ALBION Walkyrie. Calandre approchante... (je continue à chercher dans mes books...!) |

You've convinced me, it can't be an AEC |

john from Staffs, I think you've identified it. Morris-Commercial Dictator The radiator looks identical for what is visible. |

FWIW I think it is an AEC, but not a Regal - I think it's a Reliance - http://homepages.tesco.net/~greatnorthern/reliance24.jpg |

Some years later, AEC Reliance radiator does look to be nearer in design and AEC triangle may just be visible... AEC Reliance Link to "www.ltmcollection.org" Morris Commercial Dictator Link to "www.search.digitalhandsworth.org.uk" -- Last edit: 2014-11-06 13:25:51 |

I think I'd probably go with the Reliance. Certainly too early for a Regal, and the Dictator was made in very limited quantities. |
