Which would make it an Econoline.

Who put E-350 in the brackets? This could be an E-450 for all we know.

ford guy I thought since ford sold the chassis cabs under the e-series name and not the Econoline name that this would be listed as an E-series.

an example of a 1994 E-Series (E450)

The truck in your link is not a 1994. It's a 1999-2002 model. If you notice, it says "Super Duty" below "E-450," a name first applied to E-Series vans for the 1999 model year. Also, it has the 1997-2002 grille.

However, I do see what you're talking about. Let me do some research and see what I can find online.

^ haha well thats my fault for relying on the Indiana Fire Dept when they said it was a 1994 and not paying attention to it but there are plenty of 92+ chassis cabs with e-series insignia ;)

Yes, I'm well aware of your last point and I think you're correct on it. But I wonder if they were still technically known as Econolines or not. This is really difficult. I wish there was some comprehensive source we could look to for information about Econolines/E-Series vehicles from the 90's.

In the 1996, 1997, 1998 "Econoline/Club Wagon" owners manuals this is what the models are listed as:

Econoline E-150
Econoline E-250
Econoline E-250 HD
Super Van E-250
Super Van E-250 HD
Econoline E-350
Super Van E-350
Club Wagon E-150
Club Wagon E-350
Club Wagon Super E-350
E-350 RV Cutaway
E-350 Commercial Cutaway
E-Super Duty
E250/E350 Stripped Chassis

while obviously they are using the chassis codes I think it is safe to say that the Cutaways are e-series instead of econoline. But I am going to look for some more conclusive evidence

But then if we followed that same logic, then we would have to rename, for example, the "Econoline Club Wagons" we have to just "Club Wagon." I don't know what we should do...
