Based on the width of the grille, it's got to be an XK150. |

...and the large curved one piece windscreen. XK 150 Coupé of course |

What's the car just visible on the far right with the darker colored stripe? |

I think the sedan on the right that I was curious about is a 1956 Packard Executive: http://www.automotivehistoryonline.com/packard1956.htm |

Right indeed, Cougar! Note how the side stripe does not widen toward the back as the Clipper's does, even though it has Clipper style taillamps. If it gets it's own page, it will be our 2nd Executive on the site. (Rare, too! Only 1,784 were built.) Basically, the Executive was a slightly modified Clipper with the senior series front clip. |

Bumping this forward. I still feel this rare car deserves its own page and if so, it will be only the 2nd Packard Executive on the site. |

Clearly the fhc. I was faintly hoping it might be T825146 DN as on jaguarxk150sfastback.com but it seems to have the conventional rear window. Registration no. is clearly not old RPM 935, not that the number plate looks authentic in this picture. Why under 'Cars, convertible' vs. 'Cars, coupes' please? -- Last edit: 2016-06-08 06:04:34 |
