Actually this is an Ardea. The Aprilia is bigger (wider windscreen) and has slightly S-shaped front fenders. Not easy to see the distinguishing details, but I think I see a one-piece rear window. That would make this a 3a serie or 4a serie. If we could see the colour of the steering wheel (black = 3a, ivory = 4a) or the bumpers (plain = 3a, with rubber strip is 4a), that would help. The 3a serie was built 3600 times during 1948/49, the 4a serie 11700 times during 1949-1952. |
