Is it a 1987+ Gen.1? |

A Gen.1 or more commonly known as OG900 (old generation) built in Finland but I can't really see any US-specific parts... |

There are actually two green Saab 900s. Hank, the doctor, drives one. Jill, the hospital administrator, also drives one. In the pilot episode, they meet at a party when he mistakes her car for his. In later episodes, Jill gets rid of the Saab and drive a Gen 3 Toyota Prius (product placement). |

Oh, thanks atom. At least the "S" series now I know is not confined to USA. |

What's printed on the small badge below the "S" in 900 S? |

Could be "16 Valve" or "Katalysator" I think. |

In our market the bottom inscription of "900 S" usually say "16 valve". After 1986 model year, the 900 S series has 16-valve engine. The one I used to own 1985 SAAB 900 S was 8-valve version. |

I just saw an episode (87 or 88, season 6) where ´Emma´ drives a red 900 conv. No 'SAAB' or '900' badges on the rear. |
