I think it is a circa 1965 Rambler American with a very dodgy non-standard door mirror.

it seems not a 1965 Rambler American

It reminds me also a little old BMWs, but not this model.
But the front does not look like a BMW.

I think it looks a lot like the Rambler pictured. Just look at the windscreen frame and quarter light. The shape of the bonnet and front wing also look like the Rambler American. And if you find a picture of the American with the hood up you will see that the central post looks like that of the Rambler American too. It certainly looks a lot more like a Rambler American than any BMW.

....So unless anyone has any better suggestions....

The design of this car must be a mixture from Jaguar E-Type and Alfa Romeo Duetto/Spider

The bumpers seem much too thin for a Rambler.

I thought that the car to identify was the brown sedan  And it is a BMW 2002, already listed
So it is this white car... not easy :/

I'm confused. There are apparently three cars here. The brown BMW 2002, a white car and the convertible with Juliette Lewis (?) at the wheel.

The convertible is a the white car drove by Jennifer Jason Leigh with (in the german version) V8 sound.
Jennifer Jason Leigh is the Actress in a leading role. The car is spotting only in this scene.

Apology that i did not think on the BMW , because its my own car.

I still think it's a Rambler American (the convertible with the girl in it that we can hardly see), only I now think it is more likely a 1964 model.

You might be right, Saturn Simon, but it could as well be an early 60s Studebaker Lark.

Saturn Simon UK

It's not a Lark as the pillar and quarterlight are wrong for that model. On post '63 Larks the top of quarterlight window had a very short horizontal edge. This car has perfectly triangular quarlights with no horizontal edge at the top - like on the Rambler American.

1962 and earlier Larks had wrap-around windscreens and almost rectangular quarterlights.

it is't a 1964 Rambler American

Lets see, we are looking for a 4 seat convertible with rounded sides and wings that has a post behind the front window, vent windows and a hump on the front of the bonnet. A 1953 Nash Rambler with the bonnet ornament removed may fit those requirements ??

It's a BMW 70's early 80's.

How about a Fiat 124 Spider?

I haven't seen the movie, but are you really sure the V8 sound comes from this car? Although I can't find any pictures of a combination of missing headrests and plastic outside mirrors, I'm still almost convinced it's a Fiat (124) Spider rather than a Dodge Dart (especially compare the front window frames).

The Fiat also has the humps on the bonnet:

I've always wondered what car it was that she drove away in ever since I saw the movie way back in 1991 when it premiered... now I know.
