| You could be right, but the 340:s I found all have black grilles without chrome. But on the other hand this car lacks the chrome on the bumpers..  |

| Hmm, I looked through some sales literature. Didn´t get much wiser though. It seems like 340 L/DL should have the black grille for 1982-85. No chrome until next facelift. for the 1986 models. But the 340 GLS looks exactly like the 360. This one doesn´t quite fit, maybe it´s varieties on different markets, or it has simply got the grille replaced some time during its nearly twenty years on the road? I´ll put it to 1982 343, first year with this look. |

| Here in Sweden both series were available with 3,4 or 5 doors. The 2 Litre engine was available in the 340 DL at least 1983, I have no reference for 1984. In 1985 it´s only in the 360. |
