Dubonnet Xenia Aero Coupé, based on a Hispano-Suiza H6. I found different dates for this car... the base would be a Hispano from 1931 or 1932, the body (by Saoutchik) is said to be from 1938 or 1945... Personally I'd tend to 1932/1938. It was a show car with undependent Dubonnet front suspension. "Du Bo, Du Bon, Dubonnet..." |

Rather Swiss than French: "Suiza" |

Spanish-Swiss because of the combination of a Spanish car producer (Emilio de la Cuadra) and a Swiss engineer (Marc Birkigt). Until 1911 they only produced in Spain, but since that date the main car production was in France. Later also in Argentina and Czechoslovakia (Škoda!). Cf http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hispano-Suiza |
