That is a 69 El Camino. You can tell it's of the 68-72 bodystyle. The sails on the 64-67 bodystyles were a lot thinner than those of the 68-72. You can tell this is a 69 specifically by looking at the front fenders. Both 68 and 69 had a diagonal cut in the front fenders. The cut on the 68 was much more dramatic then on the 69. If you look at the fender of this one you can see the diagonal cut exposing some of the grill. It's hard to see because they ripped off the chrome piece that is usually on the diagonal cut. As a matter of fact they ripped of all the chrome and every badge too. The cut is not as dramatic and noticeable as it is on the 68, therefore this is a 1969 El Camino. -- Last edit: 2013-02-22 04:25:42 |
