1980 according to NY Times Link to "movies.nytimes.com" 1981 on BFI http://ftvdb.bfi.org.uk/sift/title/215088?view=credit Maybe use 1980 as the earliest possible. imdb is not that reliable with release dates. |

License plate isn't very clear, but if it's 166VQS then www.bar.ca.gov says it's a 1979. |
