This one looks as if it should be fairly easy, but I can't match it. It looks so familiar .....

So much like a Riley 1.5, but not.

I'm pretty sure we already have one of them (or this very car if it's a one-off)somewhere on this site, but my memory is letting me down. Pretty sure it was either British or Italian...

Flying a few kites to see if it inspires anything. Pretty sure the styling is coachbuilt Italian, so what's underneath is also likely to be Italian. It's front-engine (maybe obvious, but means baby Fiats for instance can be excluded). Short bonnet so unlikely to be more than 4 cylinders or maybe V6; looks a tall engine for that odd bonnet hump which seems something forced on the stylist rather than an aesthetic choice. Small cabin. Curved windscreen glass likely to be mid-50s onwards, but big upright grilles became old-fashioned by about 1960.

So we could be looking at something based on stuff like Lancia Appia, Fiat 1100 or or maybe Alfa Giulietta. If that front is symbolic of its origin, then strong similarity to mid-50s Lancia style as some Aurelias or Appias.

I am posting this more to be able to find it again, but, why would a Lancia Appia need the bonnet hump in the centre?

Scroll down to see a picture of the narrow angle V-4 engine of the Appia Berlina.
Also, a view of the pillarless saloon with its doors open.

Sunbeam Talbot?

Certainly isn't an Alfa.
