It is a Silver Wraith based hearse with bodywork by the Scottish Co-operative Wholesale Society (Britain's largest funeral enterprise, who made their own hearse bodies from the 20 onwards. The co-op still exists, owning a massive fleet of Rolls hearses and mourning cars, but they ceased to make their own bodies in 1996). The car is alive and well and a member of the National Hearse Register. I just got confirmation of today's owner of the hearse that it is indeed his car. He corrected me insofar, that albeit the car was commissioned by the Scottish Co-op originally, the bodywork is by Simpson & Slater. How do I upload photos? |

It's a 20/25HP Chassis as already quoted on another thread here - confirmed by the books via the registration no. |

ET9976 is chassis #GTK53, a 1936 20/25HP which carried a Thrupp & Maberly limousine body before the hearse. |
