Not,is a 1968-'71 Moto Guzzi "Furghino(mangled way in Italian for "furgoncino"=small van)CR"(with same engine of lightweight,49cc.,"Dingo"moped-bike,with 3-speed transmission;a trick for set engine on the vehicle parallel to cardan transmission shaft(running straight under chassis,on right side, disassed)was that of turn the engine of 45°,in way that cardan gear engages directly on gearbox);in my boyhood have seen only two in my town(one beige, without doors, almost rusted and another van version,mid-blue,with cab complete of doors and "MOTO GUZZI"writing and eagle stylized logo in white, under lower part of side windows(that swings-out a while, like car's wind baffles, with glasses in squared shapes, and top-hinged);for a while,in Italy was a rival in sales of Piaggio Ape 50(probably born in 1969 just to obstaculate success of that tricycle-truck,seen that Piaggio don't build ,before 1969,vehicles of lightweight loads category with 49cc.like the Furghino of Guzzi, that could be driven without driving licence and plate,in Italy, because mopeds, scooters and motorcycle truck under 50 cc.were exempt to have it by MoT,thru '50s-early'90s). PS Don't knew, but, was exported also in Holland(I discover it just by that photo) -- Last edit: 2007-07-01 00:13:29 |
