250 models from the 1955-59 Blue Chip truck line had actually a 1-ton nominal rating, and were part of the light-duty range. But this one has a medium-duty (1½-ton 300 to 2½-ton 400) bumper. So the number in the middle of the grille indicates something like 300, 350, 370 or 400, and as far as I know it couldn't be anything else As already said by DT83, a 1955-57 model. More precisely, a 1955-56 one, as the grille was changed and 2 "spears" appeared on the hood for the 1957 model year. |
