It's a Camper, not a van. I cannot identify the coachbuilder. Something Australian? |

New picture provided by Davez621 shows that has the 1973 or later bumper. Looks like a newer gas cap at Valiant1962's thumbnail ![]() -- Last edit: 2015-02-20 13:52:01 |

What's about the coachbuilder/maker of the Camper-stuff? |

@ingo: Site is down at the moment, will have a look when it's back up again. BTW, fully imported 1977-79. Is the color a local red paint or the later German made L31A Senegal Red? |

Hard to say, as it's very matt and bleached. Can be nearly any red tone... |

This scene was an reenactment of the murders of Terence Basham and his de-facto wife; Susan Smith who were both shot allegedly by Chris Flannery at their farmhouse in Murwillumbah, NSW on the morning of the 13th August 1982. Basham was a former member of the Painters and Dockers Union and a associate of drug traffickers; Bruce "Snapper" Cornwell and Barry Bull and had been involved with Bull and Cornwell with a drug importation ring. According to Cornwell and Bull's associate and the mastermind behind the drug importation ring; George Tsingolis, Basham had a falling out over money with Cornwell and Bull and had resulted in Basham bashing Bull. After the bashing, Tsingolis later stated that Bull approached him and asked if he knew anyone to kill Basham and Tsingolis suggested Flannery as both Flannery and Tsingolis were acquaintances. Tsingolis also then stated that Flannery's associate; Laurence Prendergast was also involved in the murders, after shooting Basham, Flannery shot and killed Smith as she witnessed Flannery shoot Basham, after seeing Basham was still alive, Flannery fired another shot into Basham, killing him. At the scene was Basham and Smith's infant daughter who Flannery left alive and alone with the bodies. -- Last edit: 2019-02-06 15:35:16 |
