The Dealership. Jerry wants to buy "another" Saab 900 and Kramer test drives it to see how far it will run on Empty. It has the red taillights running across the rear, making it a 1996-98 model. Not the same as the 1996 already listed. -- Last edit: 2011-05-23 17:56:49 |

George: "Yeah right.. I’m gonna get my car repaired at a dealership. Huh! Why don’t I just flush my money down the toilet?" |

Only now I realize that these thumbnails that I orginally posted on the '96 SAAB page, are actually the newer '97 model 8.15: 8.16: 8.20: |

Confusingly I think there are three cars: The first one (multi-spoke alloys), the one from 8.15-Series 8 end (older style three spoke wheels) and another one for Series Nine (Newer style three spoke wheels). I also think the main for the '96 SAAB is actually the '97 one. |

Jerry's last Black 900 before the series ended. His first was a late model first generation, probably a 1993, which replaced his 1990 BMW 5-series after he couldn't get a terrible smell out of it. His second is a second generation which appears in the seventh season with no mention of where it came from. It is stolen by a crazy mechanic after he falls in love with it and Jerry denies his insane requests. He buys his third one shortly after and it appears frequently throughout the eight season. Early in the ninth season the engine is destroyed when Kramer puts blood in the radiator. Later in the episode "The Dealership" the episode is dedicated to Jerry buying his fourth 900. While Jerry battles to get a deal for the right car, Kramer test drives it (or another one) to make sure it is the right car for Jerry. It eventually turns into a thrill ride for Kramer and the salesmen when they try to see how long the car will go before running out of gas. In the end Kramer says "The needle broke off", and the car runs out of gas in the middle of the highway. The car's last major appearance is in "The Puerto Rican Day" when the four get stuck in traffic because of the Puerto Rican Day parade. Kramer mistakes another identical 900 for Jerry's, and later suggests that they leave the car, remove the plates and serial number and simply walk away, making it seem stolen so Jerry would get a free one. By the end of the episode it is attacked and dropped down a stairwell by an angry mob because Kramer accidently burned the Puerto Rican flag. Great cars -- Last edit: 2012-09-26 05:18:50 |
