Now I've seen the frontal shot, I think the registration is KGK575, and therefore not an RTL as I said, but an RTW, specifically RTW75, a Leyland Titan PD2/3, also bodied by Leyland. Sorry about that folks! |

Its an RTL.The givaway is the front ad stickers,on an RTW they would not extend around to the side because of the extra 6inch width of the bus.The reg could not have been the original. |

I think there could be more to consider when looking at the adverts used on the bus. The movie was set about 35 years before the filming date, so the preserved bus probably had special adverts added by the movie company to represent the period. So the size of the front ads may not be correct. The actual preserved bus KGK575 is seen here. The position of the headlight between the radiator and the right hand side under the driver's windscreen confirms it as a RTW. For a RTL the headlight would appear closer to the radiator. KGK575, Leyland RTW75 |
