Rockne nomenclature is a bit confusing. According to this Studebaker (maker of the Rockne line) web site http://www.theantiquestudebakerclub.com/rockne/rockne.htm, The Rockne line was based on the Studebaker Six model line. Rockne's were made as Rockne Six "65" or Rockne Six "75", depending up on wheel base. This was in 1932. In 1933, it seems, the Rockne Six models were replace by the Rockne "10", of which there was a panel delivery van. There is a photograph of a panel truck that is nearly identical to this one.

After Rockne production ceased in the US, left over parts were sent to Norway for ultimate assembly. This was before the outbreak of WWII and it is conceivable Rockne vehicles could have made it to Germany from occupied Norway.

I'm told by a Studebaker expert that the truck still exists in a private collection.
It was modified for films with a setup that allowed itto be right or left hand drive as required.

As a Rockne owner for eighteen years, I can assure you this is a 1933 Model 10. Only two Rockne Deliveries are verified as still existing; suspect there should be at least a third somewhere.
The Rockne "75" of 1932 was indeed based upon the Studebaker Six but the smaller Rockne "65" of that year was a totally new vehicle from stem to stern.
It was designed and engineered by Ralph Vail and Roy Cole for Willys-Overland. They were independent engineers commissioned in 1930 by W-O to come up with a completely new vehicle and to build two prototypes. They were paid in advance and when they presented the prototypes to W-O the company was on the verge of bankruptcy.
The prototypes were theirs to do with as they pleased.
As he headed home, Vail decided to stop in South Bend and show the car to Albert Erskine, President of Studebaker.
The rest, as they say, is history. Erskine set about establishing Rockne as a separate dealership from Studebaker, much as Buick or Chevrolet were separate from GMC.
Notre Dame coach Knute Rockne had been on the Studebaker payroll as a motivational speaker for their sales division for some time.
On March 19, 1931 Rockne was appointed Manager of Sales Promotion Activities for Studebaker. Twelve days later he was killed in a plane crash near Bazaar, Kansas.

The Model "65" of 1932 and Model "10" of 1933 were produced in the Detroit factory owned by Studebaker.
They are easily distinguished from the larger 1932 Model "75". The "75" did not have the "V" in the grill.
The 1932 models can be distinguished from the 1933 primarily by the front fender curvature towards the grill, as well as the headlight wire being routed in to the grill shell in 1932 and under the fender in 1933.
When Rockne production ceased in 1933, that totally new engine from Vail/Cole became the Studebaker Commander Six and was used in various displacements until 1961; a thirty year production run. Must have been a pretty dependable design.

Probably more than you wanted to know about Rocknes. The Rockne Registry has found less than 225 existing vehicles in the world in any condition.

This particular Rockne Delivery is owned by a gentleman from Seattle.

I believe that in this episode, this may have been Oskar Schnitzer's Tierartz truck in disguise as part of the story line.
