Freightliner-badged Iveco Cargo. |

That's the original Ford Cargo cab dating from 1981, before Iveco's involvement. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Cargo_(Europe) Note that this truck is right hand drive or perhaps dual control, to give the driver a better view of the side of the road. -- Last edit: 2009-03-22 11:26:42 |

Yes, but when Ford sold off their heavy truck division to Mercedes-Benz, they also got rid of the lighter Ford Cargo, and Ford Cargoes after 1999 were rebadged as both Freightliners and Sterlings. This is a Freightliner. |

I know, I was just pointing out that this cab is not an Iveco design. |

isn't ti same convention as with truck cranes for example ? if its a simple truck with attachments should be simple truck, if't a purpose build sweeper machine then should go to this category |

I guess this site has categories to fit whatever the function of the subject vehicles ![]() |

Originally this category was intended for special purpose vehicles indeed, big or small. For this particular one, I do not know. It is rather heavily modified I think. It is not very important though. But vehicles like /vehicle.php?id=606100 are just a tanker + sprinklers, not really a street sweeper. -- Last edit: 2014-05-14 17:02:26 |
