This scene was the reenactment of the murders of the West German Attorney General, Siegfried Buback, Buback's judicial officer, Georg Wurster and Buback's driver, Wolfgang Göbel who were shot multiple times by two unknown members of the Red Army Faction (or the RAF) as they were sitting in their Mercedes Benz 230.6 at the traffic lights in Karlsruhe on the morning of the 7th April 1977. Both Buback and Göbel were killed instantly while Wurster died of his injuries six days later on the 13th April 1977. Their murders were the first in a series of RAF Assassinations that occurred throughout West Germany between the 7th April and the 18th October 1977 known as the "Deutscher Herbst" (or the "German Autumn"). -- Last edit: 2023-01-25 14:16:55 |
