Rolls Royce Silver Wraith SWB Hearse, possibly Woodall Nicholson |

Several coachbuilders made hearse bodies on the Wraith chassis (Alpe & Saunders, Vincents of Reading, Scottish Co-Operative Wholesale Center, W. Denby, Mascot Motors, Dottridge Bros., Simpson & Slater...), but I also believe this is a Woodall Nicholson conversion. I just write that because visitors of IMCDb probably get the impression that there were not more than a handful of specialized hearse manufacturers throughout the UK. Actually, there are/ were many of them. |

This is a 1938 Wraith, chassis #WRB22, reg'd FLU666. The original body and wings were replaced so it's easy to mistake it for a post-war Silver Wraith.. |
