I trusted it being a Dodge as it was listed like that... but Dodges had longer side strips (upto halfway the door) and the writing on the fender was lower than the side strip, not higher (and there were other differences). So this is rather a 1950 Plymouth, and indeed a self-made conversion. The writing will read Special DeLuxe (although the chrome stonguard on the rear fenders is missing), and because of the two doors it will have to have been a Club Coupe [P-20].
