1968. It has little round side marker lights.

Ignoble ending for almost new car:

A goof in the series was, that this 68' Polara played a part of a totally obsolete Arnold family car in ...1969! It definitely could not look so obsolete then, as it was suggested by the characters in episode 3.07 ;) They should have taken something from late 50s instead...

Another goof i remember in the episode where kevin was afraid to play foot ball he refered to the family wagon as a Impala

I just watched the episode about the family car, when they replaced this wagon with the 69 Ford Galaxie. They put a for sale sign on the wagon and said it's a 1963 Dodge....so what's the truth here? Also, another goof, Kevin is narrating and says it's 9 years old, which still wouldn't be true because even if it's a 63, they buy the new one in 69, that's only 6 years old. I hate when I find goofs like this, that the TV show makers do, can't they get things straight?

So...as far as I can tell from the TV show, it's a 1963 Dodge. It doesn't make sense if it's a 68, that would only be one year old, and they show the whole family in it that's supposed to be several years earlier, so this really doesn't make sense.

No you're right 09Enclave, I have this episode DVR'ed and they do have 1963 on the for sale sign and it is 1969 in the episode. This is a 1968 Polara theres no doubt about it. Also in the episode they filmed "flashback " scenes when the kids were supposed to be younger by a few years completely confusing me as to how they had a 68 dodge back in what is supposed to be 63 or 64. Sounds to me like somebody had an idea for an episode in the writing stage and they just hoped no one would notice this minor detail. I don't think IMCDB was around in 92 or 93 whenever this episode was filmed lol.

Moreover, in first two seasons the family had 1963 Impala, then they quietly replaced it with this 1968 Dodge in the third season, so it wasn't their "good old" car ;) Seems like the writers came to an idea to write an episode about old car during filming of the 3rd series.

the episode would have worked if they kept the original car which was a 63 [:kiki]
