Before spanish civil war (36-39) almost all trucks in spain were Chevrolet (i have just read that). After the war and because the international block to the dictatorial Franco's regime, these Chevys still operated until the '60s. (as now in Cuba with the 50s. USA cars). 1939 would be more logical in Spain, indeed, but the upper strip of the grille (with the Chevrolet writing) is larger, just like the 1940 model in Skywatchers link... |
