G-MANN ◊ 2010-01-28 18:41	Belongs to TV executive Michael Grates (Ben Stiller). He pulls up alongside Lelaina's (Winona Ryder) BMW while talking on his car phone like a stereotypical 80s/early 90s yuppie. Lelaina notices him, turns to her friend Vicki (Janeane Garofalo) and giggles and tosses away her cigarette butt which lands on some CD cases on his passenger seat. It starts to burn which startles him and he slams into her car. And then there's that big movie cliche, the delayed airbag (it blows up twice in this case). They go to his office to discuss what to do about the accident, he decides to let it go instead getting any lawyers involved (!) and asks her out to dinner. Afterwards they sit in his Saab talking and end up canoodling on the back seat, much to the disdain of Lelaina's slacker flatmate Troy (Ethan Hawke) who walks past ("I just wish I could have been there to see how you rationalised sleeping with a yuppie-head cheeseball on the first date") Although this was filmed Houston, Texas, this Saab has a New York licence plate. -- Last edit: 2010-01-28 19:03:43
