I'm leaning towards a Seagrave. Don't ask why. |

Why? |

This is an early model E-One Hurricane ladder truck, as I mentioned in the comments earlier. Link: http://firenews.org/ri/BristolRIL1.jpg The E-One logo is even visible here, on the front of the truck below the siren speaker. At this time, E-One was more specifically known as Emergency One, but later on they shortened it to just E-One on all branding, but the older trucks are now referred to as E-One also regardless of if it has the older name badge. |

It is an E-One for sure, what is throwing you off Ddey65 is that it has a Hendrickson cab. |

A real (Out of service) CFD Ladder Truck... a classic 1985 Hendrickson/E-One. During the mid & late 80's almost all CFD Truck Co.'s replace the Seagrave's, the Mack's & the Ford's for this model. |

Yup the Bristol, RI ladder I used as an example is for sale from Greenwood Fire Apparatus and it's listed as a Hendrickson http://www.greenwoodev.com/documents/Usedladders.pdf |

The Joker has a special humor. He burns a fire-truck... |

He is someone who would be a prime candidate for the psychiatric ward of a hospital with 10 times the maximum security. He is crazy! |

CORRECTION this Hendrickson based ladders where called Stratosphere not Hurricane scroll down here Link to "www.usfirepolice.net" and they are older than 85 too also Hurricane chassis was introduced in 1984 only so before seems they used Hendrickon chassis https://fire.fandom.com/wiki/E-One_Inc. -- Last edit: 2024-08-26 18:39:07 |

If what Sean says is accurate in this being a former Chicago FD apparatus, that shop number of E246 tells us that it’s a 1982 E-One according to CFD’s page on FireWiki. It was Truck 61 -- Last edit: 2024-12-29 09:35:32 |
