Based on the same full size car platform as the Taurus/Sable, which is shared with or based on a Volvo platform.

WARNER Bros. shot the film in 2007 and I am not sure this Lincoln already existed

Indeed, until I read this from Wikipedia

The production version of the Lincoln MKS was unveiled to the public in November 2007 at the LA Auto Show. Sales began in the summer of 2008 as a 2009 model. The front fascia of the production version received a new grille, a chrome, split-wing design. The trapezoidal-shaped chrome exhaust tips of the MKS Concept were replaced with more common circular chrome tips.[1]

I would guess that Lincoln gave them one of the early production versions for the film, so this has to be one of the first MKS's in existence. The filming dates were between April and November 11, 2007.

This is likely the production version then.

Do we list as pre-production in the extra info?

Oh I misread your comment. Oops.

Yes, I'd say so. For this one maybe 2007 or 2008?

Hard to say since it was shown in 2007 but slated for a 2009 release. Perhaps 2007 since that's when it debuted?

But November 2007 would already be a 2008 MY.

Good point. I support 2008

But it's a prototype sample of a car introduced for the 2009 MY. It's best to either leave it as a 2009 and put pre-production in the extra info (which would reduce confusion why this one has a different year) or put it as 2007 to reflect the year the sample was actually built. 2008 wouldn't make any sense of either of those things.

I believe 2007 with Pre-Production might be the best way to go. 2009 seems too far off for the filming date.

Speaking of which, you know Gordon Lightfoot passed away not too long ago?
