All Novas I have found have round gas caps and in the 1967 Galaxie Convertible is, as in the pic, square.

The vehicle in question has a model badge on the rear fender so it's certainly not a Custom, their badges were on the front.

I'm pulling images from this movie now, and it's most definitely a 1967 Ford Galaxie or Galaxie 500 convertible. Brian Keith drives it throughout the movie and you can see several shots of identifying taillights, grille, hubcaps, etc. The problem with the image is that this is a widescreen movie and the image isn't at the correct aspect ratio, so it looks like a shorter car (Comet? Nova?) than the Galaxie it most definitely is.
