There are two different Expeditions. The one in the fourth thumbnail (2nd row, right) is an SSV (Special Service Package) model, or I guess a Commercial Package model, I forget how they were called for this generation. The other one is an XLT model.

And the stripe has to be green to resemble those found on real Border Patrol vehicles.

It explains why the stripe was more orange in that scene... I do not know why they used another car just for that scene.

Although the Border Patrol used (and still has a few, actually) Commercial Package Expeditions and XLTs, the Commercial Package ones (meant mostly for law enforcement) were much more common. I wonder why those who made this movie decided not to use that one as the main vehicle as it might have been more appropriate for law enforcement depiction.

Because nobody except few people like you would notice? :D
Same for all other errors in movies, as there are errors in all domains ;)

Oh, I thought he was asking if they were US or Canadian Border Patrol vehicles, not along what border it was supposed to take place :D

Photos of real US Border Patrol Ford Expeditions ...
No clue as to what model the roof mounted lightbar is.

Above: 2000+ model, Base XLT

Below: a fleet of 1999+ model, 17K Fleet Special Service Package Expeditions with
custom utility bumpers. All of which are 4wd, and most likely have both the 4x4 package and
Heavy Duty Trailer Tow Package.

Looks like a Whelen Edge E-Link lightbar, although I haven't seen many Border Patrol vehicles with these. The Border Patrol mostly uses Whelen lightbars, although there are a few other brands in use too, especially with the introduction of LED lightbars.

I spot a nice Ford Bronco too, the Expedition's predecessor :) My guess is that it's a picture of this particular Border Patrol station receiving their brand-new Expeditions.

The site I was perusing through said the vehicles were stationed in El Paso, Texas.

The Bronco seen is a 1992+ model ...
