Yes, the famous Pontiac funeral coach. |

From http://www.professionalcar.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9790 reply of user Art Gregory "....Anyway, Bernie DeWinter sent me an email confirming the Pontiac was indeed a 1963. He pointed out that the famous picture I spoke of showed Jackie getiing into (or out of) the rig on the LEFT side of the car...where there was no jump seat. She was still wearing a skirt and heels...so that was real dedication to want to ride with her husband. The image of that picture has stayed with me for 40+ years. It was a very sad time and even as a 6th grader...I was stunned...as was the rest of the nation". And here two pics of a very used one 1963 |

Clearly an ambulance, not a funeral coach, so we could make it the JFK Removal Car instead. The real funeral coach they later used for JFK allegedly still exists as well, but this one was a Cadillac. |

Does "JFK Removal Car" really have to be a part of the car's name? |

Not necessarily. I wouldn't have suggested any addition to the Superior Ambulance at all, but somebody wrote "JFK Funeral Car", which isn't correct, that's why I changed it. |

Oh ok. I thought it was you that had written it, which seemed strange since you're the expert with these vehicles |

The only addition which would make sense, is the fact that we have the military version of Superior's ambulance here, equipped with a special steel roof cab. |

It was on sale. It sold for $120,000 back in January. There was a lot of controversy surrounding the sale. You can read about it here: http://jalopnik.com/#!5739333/president-kennedys-ambulance-is-a-fake |
