That's not A Ford Model R. It's a 1909 Hudson Model 20. |

You're right, the grille in the thumbnail does not match a Model R. But are you sure it's in fact a Hudson? |

Sorry, I did not get a reply notification, and I was distracted by other projects. I'm 85% certain it is a Hudson. My belief is primarily based on these pictures of a 1909 Hudson roadster in the now defunct Walter Chrysler museum. The grill, bonnet shape, mudguards wings match, but I'm mainly basing it off the front axle crossbar, it bends very like we see on the car in the film when it is upside down. The bend in the axle crossbar makes me believe it's a Hudson. However other detail could make me change that notion for a 1908 EMF Model 30. https://www.flickr.com/photos/splattergraphics/35889644185 It might be that the car at the starting line is the EMF, and the car which rolls over is the Hudson. -- Last edit: 2025-07-04 19:08:41 |
