Is it written "FIAT" on the radiator grid? |

It could be |

That is correct. It is a Fiat 520 from 1929. |

Surprising, all of the other cars in this movie are english. |

I am finding this identification thing difficult for vintage cars. How one tell that the car shown is not a 1929 Sumbeam twenty. For example, see http://www.sunbeam.org.au/models/twenty.jpg Not an arguement, just wanting to learn the finer points. |

There is not any doubt, you're right wrenchhead, it is Sunbeam and not a Fiat. Despite the spare wheel missing, and a different windscreen, the car is the same.. |

Yep, it is a Sunbeam. Why do these vintage cars have to look so alike? |

Not to mention how many modern cars look alike and on top of that is called different things in different markets (e.g. is it an Opel Vectra or a Vauxuhall Vectra?) or depending on equipment (e.g. is it a Toyota or a Lexus?). |

Not a Sunbeam but a 'Star' tourer. I believe it must be a 1928 Star 18/50 Eclipse Tourer ![]() Source http://www.localhistory.scit.wlv.ac.uk/Museum/Transport/Cars/starcars/starcars05.htm |

Hi. I was scouring the internet for a picture of this car, because it belongs to my father! We have pictures at home of when my dad had to teach the stunt men to drive this car. Well, its good to see someone still takes an interest in this rare beauty. |

I saw you were wondering why the Sunbeam and the Star are so alike. Their factories were directly opposite each other, so a lot of the cars came out looking the same, and used a lot of the same parts and plans! |

Hi conorhad. Welcome and thanks for your comments. Its always interesting to hear about the actual cars used in movies or TV series. ![]() If you are able to share the pictures of the car in connection with the 'Have His Carcase' appearance, you may like to add them here. You can post pictures in a thumbnail format using imageshack if you like, or if you have problems e-mail them for someone to add them on your behalf. Also was the car used in any other movies or programmes? |
