The one closest to the camera is a 1969 Volvo 142. Possibly even a 142 S (= Sport = twin S.U. carburettors instead of a single Zenith Stromberg). Colour code 99 (SWE: Mellanblå = ENG: Medium Blue) was very common during MY 1969. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1969-volvo-142-3/ MY 1969 in Sweden (I once owned a red 1969 Volvo 142) didn't have headrests, but the U.S./Canadian versions did. If I remember this correctly, during MY 1969 in U.S./Canada, only the S versions were available. At least that was the case for the Amazon for a great many years and I believe that was the case for the 140-series as well. -- Last edit: 2025-11-17 00:23:42 |

Is it possible to have an earlier frame that shows the badge on the front wing. It's in the shadow at the moment. Link to "www.reddit.com" |

Unfortunately, the car is already parked when the camera cuts to it, and after that the camera only very slightly moves to the left, not revealing anything more. For what it's worth, there doesn't seem to be anything red on the badge: ![]() This is the only other view of the car, moments before it drives away: ![]() |

Thank you humungus. Your picture shows that the shield is parted in two sections. That reveals that it's a 142 S. The 142 badge looks like Link to "lh3.googleusercontent.com" . In my opinion this is a 1969 Volvo 142 S, made for USA/Canada and possibly assembled in Halifax, Canada. |
