I believe this is a 1970-74 MCB (Crescent) 1189 'packmoped' Link to "www.classicmotor.se" . A few explanations: MCB = Monark Crescent Bolagen was a Swedish company that was brought together when two bicycle companies decided to cooperate. Those bicycles were Monark and Crescent. Moped = (Mo = MOtor) + (VelicoPED = old word for bicycle) = a bicycle with an engine not producing more than 1 hp and a top speed under 30 Kph (= 20 mph). With those restrictions 15 year olds used to drive them legally without permission or driving licence. Packmoped = Moped used to deliver goods. -- Last edit: 2025-10-28 17:30:14 |
