Just simply Corolla in this generation. Despite brochures already said it, but honesty, "Great Corolla" looks too advertly promotional, hence in my previous E100 entries in the past, I went simply listed as Corolla. Yes, of course, unique nomenclatures suffixes in Indonesia as retroactively used by their automakers remain allowed to list in IMCDb (and I still allowed it), such as the Imora-era Civics and Accords, some of the older Mitsubishi Galants like the II, Sigma and Eterna, some of the older Mazdas sold by Indomobil, Suzuki Karimuns, and even the Honda Brio Satya, not all of them can be used here. In this case, those in some older Corollas like the E100 models? I don't think so. The only Indonesian Corollas that were absolutely allowed to use such retroactively unique suffixes were the Corolla Altis since the E120. Also, why [AE101]? -- Last edit: 2025-10-06 12:56:17 |

Yes, Corolla only. For 1.6L Indonesian model, they have the chassis code of [AE101R] as proven by various STNK records. Or in IMCDB's case, just [AE101]. https://www.mobilmotorlama.com/2015/10/toyota-great-corolla-ae101-ee101.html ![]() The Corolla E100 nomenclature is split into different groups, but mostly we'll focus on these: -EE100/EE101, 1.3L engined vehicles powered by the 2E or 4EFE. For Indonesia, EE101 was the chassis code for the 2E cars. -AE101X, 1.6L engined vehicles powered by the 4AFE. [AE101R] would be a 4AFE engined vehicle which would indicate the model being a 1.6 SE-G for the Indonesian market. And this chassis code is also used by the NZ cars, however it's more evident that the Australian spec cars have the chassis code [AE101R] because they too also use the 4AFE engine on all their models. [EE101] would be the 2E engined vehicles for Indonesia, that being the 2E powered 1.3 SE for the Indonesian market. For 1994, the 1.3 SE was replaced by the 1.6 SE as seen by the STNK record. Without knowing if this is a 1.6 SE-G [AE101R/AE101] or 1.3 SE [EE101], it's better to just place it as [E100]. -- Last edit: 2025-10-06 16:18:56 |
