My guess is a very early HJ Mulliner for the unusual pointed corners on rear quarterlights and shallow front wing sweep on front doors - maybe design 7122 ?? - which would suggest 1948-ish?? Apparently only a few made. But I ain't no expert, just a bloke with an RR picture book .... |

You sure it’s not a Hooper Teviot? I ask the question because both doors are rear hinged. Design might be 8122. |

No - I'm not sure. 7122 suggestion was just to kick things off. 8122 looks a better idea - also matches the front quarterlights - longer than most with angular top. If early Teviot, 1948-ish still applies. |

The Silver Wraith on the 127 inch wheelbase was announced in April 1946. The long wheelbase was introduced in Oct 1951, but the shorter chassis remained in build until some time in 1953. If the car is an early Teviot then agreed, 1948 ish fits. As far as being able accurately to date when the chassis was clothed with its body this is probably the best offer possible unless someone knows the car. -- Last edit: 2025-07-03 14:32:27 |

RIP Ozzy Osbourne. Not my kind of music but a man of the Midlands who did well. |

That's an unexpected tribute. Well, he did frequent the same part of Staffordshire as me. (Much bigger house though.) Sorry dsl, finger trouble! Can you undo what I’ve messed up? -- Last edit: 2025-07-23 14:43:50 (johnfromstaffs) |

That's OK. I'd posted this to mark his demise. And this example of epic Sabbs - memories of Birmingham Odeon about 1976 - and this for the final 3-minute epic wig-out. And now added an untypical thing which might get jfs humming along. |

Some Facebookers posted a list of pubs he used when living in Staffs. How the heck I never met him I can’t work out! Thanks to dsl for being relaxed about my wiping his post out! -- Last edit: 2025-07-23 20:25:23 |
