This is a 2006-2008 Ford Grand Marquis since they weren't officialy sold under the Mercury name in Canada. |

I always thought that was a weird thing for Ford to do. Sort of like the 1999 "Chevrolet" Alero they sold in Europe that had Oldsmobile badges. |

Or the Hyundai Granada in Korea: /vehicle_196704-Hyundai-Granada.html |

Man they were to cheap to badge-engineer those |

So... Should all Grand Marquises in Canada-filmed movies be changed to Ford? |

Most likely. |

No... The Grand Marquis actually carried Ford badges in Mexico, but Canadian models didn't, even after Mecury officially left Canada in 2004. Here's an '06 for sale on Kijiji - Link to "www.kijiji.ca" Note Mercury badges all around and a metric speedometer. Wikipedia notes that the Grand Marquis was the only Mercury sold in Canada after 2004 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_Grand_Marquis#Canada |

i had the same " fight " to keep it as a Mercury but according to a comment here /vehicle_204142-Ford-Grand-Marquis-2003.html it is a Ford . I've sent a e-mail to SAAQ ( who makes the registration in Québec ) and they told me to contact the manufacturer. Still waiting for an answer from Ford, even 2 weeks after |

Should be a Mercury, not Ford (Mercury cars were sold in Canada in Ford dealers after 2004, apparently) |
