Hello Wasili. I worked on the building of the vehicles for the 2004 Thunderbirds film. The Firefly was built on was a Ford County TW1148 tractor not a Massey Ferguson 1200. I'm pleased to know it wasn't scraped. I will dig some photos out of the Firefly build and post them.

Honestly I see more MF 1200 than county, countys aren't articulated I dont think. Not much info on it.

Hello Bucket, i am glad that Wasaili brought the firefly from thunderbirds (2004). And i am wondering will it still move and fire gunge? I can also see in my mind the firefly being used by the fire service operating in the new forest, To extinguish forest fires. As in my opinion would be an essential part of the new forest firefighting equipment as it would mean the firefighters can get closer to the flames, it would also support the fire helicopters of the uk. Would that ever work in theory and explain how could it work in theory?

Kind Regards Thunderbird fan (Gabriel Clarke)

Additional info received via e-mail from the (ex-)owner :

I'm afraid I haven't had the Firefly for 10 years. Very big and heavy, and very expensive to move (low loader). Sold to (I thought) an enthusiast, but turned out to be a dealer in agricultural vehicles. It had a Massey Ferguson tractor under it that was in perfect condition, so the new owner stripped it down and sold it for parts. When I found out it was already too late and everything was already gone or thrown away.

I took pictures, but unfortunately no videos. In addition, it is a vehicle that was made for a movie, so of course not a real firefighting vehicle.

I'll see if I can post something on the site sometime.

I would like to see the photos of the Firefly you mentioned, including the cockpit, the hidden driver place.
