It is a Dodge WC, but which one? |

It is the Dodge WC52 [T214] (1942). |

Possibly a 6-wheeled WC-62 or WC-63 - the back end has 4 or more bows for the canvas. The WC-51/WC-52 had only 3 and from the front the WC-62/63 and WC-51/52 appear identical if you can't see the back end. The theatrical trailer at the Miramax site has a quick side-view showing a vehicle with 5 bows, which could also be a GMC standard-length frame CCKW but it appears to be too low for a CCKW, so that would make it a WC-62 or WC63. Unable to tell if it has a winch or not, though it appears it may have one. |

I would say the tarpaulin bows belong to a second vehicle. The extra picture shows it better. |

Im fairly certain its a WC57 (with winch). You can see the guy climbing in the right hand side, he is holding on to the MP50 aerial which is mounted on the bodywork on the side just behind the front seats. He is evidently climbing into the back seats, and in the other picture you can see him actually sitting in the back. If it was the cargo truck version (WC51/52 or WC62/63)the rear bodywork is a bit wider than the front wings, this would be clearly visible from the front, also the aerial would have been mounted on the back, and guy in the rear would be sitting on one of the side lockers instead (unless he was perched on an ammo box or something). The truck behind is most likely to be a GMC Jimmy. |

WC57 for sure! Could not be anything else. See the two top post on the windshield to secure the folding top. |

4X4Peru - very good spotting on the two pins on top of the windshield - only the command cars had this. WC-57 for sure. DodgeMan |
