If you look real close, the instrument panel is that of a 1957 Ford Fairlane, not a 1957 Chevy. |

That always seemed bizarre to me, I wonder if if they did that because they felt that the speedometer of the '57 Fairlane was much easier for them to read and focus the camera on than the '57 Chevy speedometer. |

I always like this car chase with the '61 and the '57-- 283 Powerglide vs 283 Powerglide. Actually the '61 was probably quicker if not being a 4-dr. Shame Jamaica no longer has taxis like this! |

Nope. Three on the tree. From IMFDB. http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Dr._No#Browning_Hi-Power It's also beyond a shadow of a doubt a Bel Air. It's a fleet vehicle, not a taxi, but yes, I wish they still did. -- Last edit: 2013-02-18 03:54:23 |

My late wife told me the Bel Air was quite popular in Trinidad, too, in their day. As a model, it's extremely well documented here on our Database. |

Described as an 'official-looking limousine' in the script. |
