2 DP214s built for 63 LM - #7 #DB4/GT/0194/R, William Kimberly/Jo Schlesser & #8 #DB4/GT/0195/R, Bruce McLaren/Innes Ireland. Both retired with piston failure. DB4/GT/0194/R returned for 64 LM - Mike Salmon/Peter Sutcliffe - disqualified. However at 63 LM also entered the unique DP 215 which looked almost identical, so is a contender here. Had #18, Phil Hill/Lucien Bianchi, also retired but it was the gearbox this time. |
