Lovely car. This is a prewar Chrysler make. I'm leaning toward Chrysler the brand. -- Last edit: 2008-10-09 07:15:17 |

So far I've narrowed it to 1940-41 Chrysler "3-Window" coupe. Royal, Windsor, or Traveler? Look at these tail lights from a 42: http://www.flickr.com/photos/49024304@N00/298075222/ |

I'm more interested in the button-copy stop sign. -- Last edit: 2008-10-09 17:56:58 |

The 1940 Chryslers had chrome grilles on the sides of the hood. Therefore I'd say this is a (rather upmarket) 1941 model. |

Full wheelcovers, bumper guards, chrome under the front fenders behind the wheel openings, I'd agree with that assertion, though I can't say New Yorker or Royal for sure. |

Because the lateral low chrome strip extends up to the front wheel arch it certainly is not a Royal , but a Windsor , Saratoga or New Yorker.Judging from the wheelbase and hood lenght I go for a 1941 Chrysler Windsor 6 passenger 5 window Club Coupe ( C-28-W).Saratogas and New Yorkers had a longer whellbase ( 127.5 inch instead of 121.5 )and a longer hood. |
