Such an stupid name for a car, if this was to be sold in Spain they would surely have to change its name like they've done for others |

Ah well but it's not the same thing! |

As soon as I saw the name Borrego, Burrito popped into my head. What does Borrego mean in Spain ? |
◊ 2008-10-16 01:31 |
I like my borrego with mint jelly... (this car wouldn't sell well in Spain because Borrego means lamb; it may not be popular with Hispanic Americans either) |
◊ 2008-10-16 01:33 |
Yeah lamb, and is also used as an insult sometimes, like saying you are kind of a stubborn. |

I probably should have mentioned it long ago (when discussing the name) but the Kia Borrego was named after Anza-Borrego (a desert state park) and goes along with Kia’s western name theme, such as the Kia Sedona. Anza-Borrego and Death Valley are two favorite areas for manufacturers to test their SUVs capabilities and to do hot weather testing during development. |
