depends on the engine.........originally these were the German LKII tanks, imported into sweden just as WW1 ended as "boiler plates" and "tractor parts" then reassembled with no modifications and designated as a swedish STRV M/1921..only 10 of which were imported..all retaining their Daimler engines. When Sweden produced its own variant, from 1929, they copied the LKII design but incorporated their own Scania-Vabis engine..with this engine the tank was designated STRV M/1921-29. The German LKII was itself a direct copy of the British "Whippet" tank. Im more or less 100% that the maker of the 21/29 variant was Scania-vabis -- Last edit: 2008-10-07 12:56:32 |

The first link is about this very tank and in the specs at the bottom of the page it's written "Motor: Benz 1910, 55 hk " and at another place in the text it says it is the only origial still driveable. |

..if it has the Benz motor, then presumably its the Daimler unit..in which case is the tank one of the German LKII..or is it a swedish M/21 retro fitted with a Daimler engine..if the engine is original to the tank then it might not be a Swedish STRV..it may be an original German LKII !!!. or a rebuild of the two. |
