The blue one is also worth listing, as it is a rare combo of a stepside bed with crew cab I added it here: /vehicle.php?id=1950311 -- Last edit: 2024-12-17 20:26:08 |

The GMC's of this era were all called "Blue Chip". But I'm not sure which version. They are all listed on pages 23-26: Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" -- Last edit: 2024-12-17 20:55:14 |

Doesn't look to have the fender "extensions" between the parking lamps and the bumper, which would make it a '56. /v621763.html |

Tandem rear axle (6 wheel) conventional cab in 1956 would be W-(500A/500V/550A/630A/660A/670A) or MW-(500A/500V/550A/630A/660A) if gasoline, or DW660/DW950/DMW950/DW970 if diesel. 'M' models were distinguished by the Hydra-matic transmission; 'A' at the end indicates air brakes. Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" |
