2006-06-08 01:52 | "1949 Buick Roadmaster. Straight 8. Fireball 8. Only 8,985 production models. Dad let's me drive slow on the driveway. But not on Monday, definitely not on Monday." Although it may not be up there with the DeLorean and James Bond's Aston Martin DB5 in terms of famous movie cars, this Buick plays an important role in the story, apart from them travelling across America in it, when Charlie tries to drive it without permission as a teenager, it causes his father to fall out with him, and he loses out on his father's fortunate because of it. His father leaves three millions in his will to Charlie's long lost autistic older brother Raymond, who lives in a mental institution and doesn't understand the concept of money, while all Charlie gets is the Buick. |
