So, I decided to fast-crack this code while I'm in this entry to end this "research from very old or outdated Wikipedia revisions" reign, which this still have yet to be passed on the current state of its Wikipedia article (Mitsubishi Fuso Canter); after inspecting, apparently here in Indonesia, the generations of the Colt Diesel were different than the global Canter. It was sold in three generations, actually based on the fourth, sixth and seventh generation Canters. If we do a match-making between the global Canter and its Indonesian Colt Diesel counterparts, this is WHAT the Colt Diesel's generation lineup actually looks like... - Fourth-generation-based models -> First generation - Sixth-generation-based models -> Second generation - Seventh-generation-based models -> Third generation The Colt Diesel nameplate was active here between 1975 and 2022; 1975 was the time where fourth generation Canters were in production (very at least for the moment, another moot point that needs to be rectified for Wikipedia), so totally makes enough sense. For a minor off-topic-from-the-film record; Mitsubishi retired the Colt Diesel nomenclature here in Indonesia on March 2022 in favor of the global Canter nomenclature after the truck received Euro 4-complied engines, in preparations for the local Euro 4 regulations for diesel-powered vehicles, implemented and approved by the Indonesian government, in late April of that same year. Also, one small correction; make is just Mitsubishi; new info from this source reveals this sixth-generation-based second generation trucks wasn't branded as a Mitsubishi Fuso until the seventh-generation-based third generation that appeared in 2007. This is also evidenced by the brochures posted there, as well one appeared in my Google results: ![]() ![]() ![]() Also from that aforementioned source, this generation came here in 1995. This also has quad-round headlights, notice the right twin-round headlight on the left bottom corner of the shown image. Quad-round headlights in this generation, according to local sources, were available in the earlier models for 1995-2001 only. -- Last edit: 2025-02-12 14:19:16 |
